Project Ara Modular Phone E-Ink Display
Imagine not having to get a completely new phone when your phone battery dies, or being able to take amazing pictures by purchasing a top-of-the-line lens for your phone. Google's Project Ara will make this possible through its modular phone. I provided vision and design concepts for the e-ink display module of the phone. Due to non-disclosure agreements, I am only allowed to share high-level details of this project.
The concepts I delivered to the team considered compelling ways to use the e-ink display to provide timely information right when the user would need it, based on their location and other information Google knows from its ecosystem of products the user is already using (not unlike Google Now). I designed the conceptual model and wireframes for how the items to be displayed would act in relation to one another, and created a prototype to communicate this.
Skills
Interaction design, prototyping
Impact
